Responsible Lighting

Poor design and mindless operation of outdoor lighting washes out the night sky, unnecessarily consumes electrical power, contributes to greenhouse gas emissions, and possibly harms animal habitats.

The Halifax RASC Responsible Lighting Committee is dedicated to the promotion of responsible outdoor lighting and the reduction of light pollution.
