Members of the Halifax Centre are invited to join our email discussion list. This is by far the best way to keep up to date with late-breaking astronomical news and gatherings of fellow observers at the St. Croix Observatory. Our mechanism (email discussion list) for subscribing to this Halifax listserv was broken for some time, but it should be functioning now. You can also request removal from the list using the same link. Note that some or all of the email from that server might be considered junk/spam, so please check those folders for submissions. We have yet to figure out how to make the mail not be considered spam. Sorry about that.

Following the AGM on December 7, 2024, 2025 Board Positions (beginning in Jan. 2025). Anyone wishing to volunteer should let the board know.
At the 2024 AGM, Michelle Lane has established the Dave Lane Memorial St. Croix Observatory Property Endowment (SCOPE) Fund with an initial and substantial gift of $10,000. (Details to follow)
Halifax Centre Goals and Objectives. Members are invited to review the proposed work plan, to provide comment, and to volunteer to assist where and if they can.
Special Telescope, Special Observatory, Special Fund – The Centre auctioned Roy Bishop’s 6-inch, F/4.8 Maksutov-Newtonian telescope at the Dec meeting as a fund raiser. The winning bid was from Judy Black (it will be cloudy for the foreseeable future).
